Meet The Golf Pro
Darin Fisher, PGA, Head Professional and Director of Golf
Darin Fisher has more than 23 years of experience as a professional golfer, and was elected to PGA membership in 2007. As the head professional at a PGA-recognized golf course, his PGA classification is A-1.
He's participated in and won many tournaments, among them:
- EIGHT PGA National Championship appearances (2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021)
- Four cuts made: 2011, 2012, 2018, and 2021
- 2017 and 2019 PGA Tour John Deere Classic competitor
- 2015, 2017, 2018 Forest City Pro Am
- 2018 - finished 24th in the PGA of America's national Player of the Year race
- 2016, 2018 Iowa PGA Section Championship, winner
- 2012, 2014, 2018 Iowa PGA Match Play Championship, winner
- 2012 Herman Sani Tournament, winner
- 2002, 2018 Albia Pro-Am, winner
- 2019 VIPA (Vail International Pro AM) Winner
In January of 2018, and again in January of 2022, Darin was honored as an Honorable Mention selection to Global Golf Post's All Pro team.

Darin has also qualified for the second stage of the U.S. Open four times (2004, 2007, 2010, and 2018), and advanced to the second stage of the PGA Tour Qualifying School in 2004.
Darin opened The Preserve on Rathbun Lake at Honey Creek Resort in 2008, and has received the Iowa PGA Merchandiser of the Year for Resort Courses three times (2010, 2012, and 2014). Darin has more than 23 years of teaching experience, and has been actively teaching as the Head Professional at Honey Creek Resort since 2008.
As an instructor, he gives individual lessons weekly and leads two successful golf clinics annually, one for ladies and one for juniors. Each clinic has 30+ participants. He is also the head coach of the Moravia High School's boys and girls golf teams.
Darin is a graduate of Central College in Pella, Iowa. He resides in Albia, Iowa, with his wife, Jeni, and their three children.
