A conference resort with meeting facilities, amenities, event and wedding services staff to make bringing people together enjoyable and effortless. Accommodating both large and intimate groups, Honey Creek Resort’s conference and banquet facilities are state-of-the-art, offering unparalleled service, and beautiful overnight accommodations in an exceptional setting.

Nature and Team Building Activities

We have our own activity center and full-time interpretive staff who coordinate nature programs and activities. Guests can participate in dozens of planned hikes, biking, birding, kayaking, and scavenger hunts. Groups can schedule team building activities at various skill levels, as well as geocaching, habitat and ecosystem programs. Activities can be selected in advance and tailored to the groups interests and schedule.

Cooking Classes and Demonstrations with the Chef

Our culinary staff will create a cooking class or demonstration in our banquet kitchen, that your group will find educational and enjoyable. Participants can have a “hands-on” experience, individually or as a team, preparing a recipe which they can enjoy when completed.

Golf, Biking and Fishing

Honey Creek Resort has The Preserve, 18-hole award winning, par 72, links-style championship golf course. The tees, greens and fairways are bent grass and several holes are lakeside. The course has two PGA pro’s, fully merchandised pro-shop, food and beverage concessions, full fleet of GPS equipped golf carts, and a practice facility.

The resort also has canoe, kayak and power boat rentals, a 50-slip marina, concrete boat launching ramp, boat trailer parking, and fishing pier. Rathbun Lake has excellent fishing, and is maintained and managed by the Iowa DNR and Army Corps of Engineers. Bicycles can be rented at the main lodge and used on the miles of roads and trails around the resort and lake area.
