BECKY, Farmers Mutual Hail ~
We had 140 people at the Resort for meetings, meals and activities (golf, fishing, pontoon rentals) for a four night program. Our group had a fantastic time! The staff did an excellent job in anticipating our every need and were very flexible in responding to our many requests. ! The Resort is beautiful; the function rooms are state-of-the-art; the rooms are very well-appointed and comfortable; and the service is outstanding. We had such a successful event, we are returning this year! We’re looking forward to another great event!

We had a company function of about 40 people held at Honey Creek Resort. The staff was very accommodating; and the food was fantastic. We have made it our new destination for meetings and gatherings. Highly recommend it!

“Great place for a family reunion”
We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it to anyone- especially with small children. We stayed in a cottage, which was very nice, and did our own cooking. I left my large cooking pot there, however, when we packed to leave. I didn’t discover this until 2 weeks later, when I called to see if they had found it. They had found it and 2 days later it showed up at my house- great customer service! Thanks so much.

“Quiet & peaceful place to enjoy” Our families went to try out honey Creek. It was great.
It has a golf course, RV camping, 1-4 Bedroom cottages, and a nice restaurant attached to the hotel. There is an all age friendly INDOOR water park as well as activities for all ages. It offers spa services by appointment. The resort itself is right on the State park of Lake Rathbun. With that in mind, you can fish, rent out boats or bring your own and rent jet skis. The resort itself is all year round, full of trails and wildlife alike. Its relaxing and very beautiful.

“Great Resort destination to include families” This was a surprise. A state-funded, LEED-certified, ecologically conscious hotel with great meeting facilities, attentive staff, and plenty for the family to do. I’d go back in a Des Moines second. I worked with a client group and our every need was met. The group had a hospitality suite at their disposal, very good meeting room, prompt catering, and access to a surprisingly good on-site restaurant.
Rooms were spacious and high quality. Small carbon and water consumption footprint. Lots of recreation choices from a challenging links golf course to sailing, spa, biking, water park, walking, etc. Lake Rathbun is a very large body of water and the destination is a reasonable drive from most Iowa cities and the Des Moines airport.
